Stick Bug

Identification in progress

Stick bugs are almost impossible to find in the wild because their entire design is to stay relatively still and blend in with their environment. I was lucky enough to find this one swaying slightly on a leaf near the trail, although it still took me several minutes to determine whether it was truly a live insect or not.
