Luna Moth

Actias luna

Recognizable due to its size and lime green color, luna moths are nocturnal silk moths native to and found exvlusively in North America. Its adult form lives only a week and lacks a mouth and digestive system, focusing its entire adult phase on reproduction. It has an eyespot on each wing that it uses to scare away predators.
