Hidden Snout Weevil

As their name suggests, these weevils have the ability to tuck their rostrum down into a groove under their chest. They camoflage with the forest floor by folding in their legs and snout, looking like small pieces of wood, lichen, or stone. Many species in this subfamily no longer have wings and cannot fly.
