Banded King Shoemaker

Prepona demophon

Its underside is a pale brown that aid in this butterfly's camoflage defense mechanism, allowing them to blend in with leaves and dirt. Their dop side features dark wings with a bright blue stripe across both wings. They are found throughout Central and South America and have been spotted as far North as Texas.
